From February 2-6, 2009, UP JPIA will be staging ARTBurst: Express Yourself. A week-long event promoting artistic self-expression. For our culminating night, part of our line-up of activities willl be a fashion show featuring the works of creative, artistic, upcoming, promising fashion designers (yes, you!)

Designs have no limits, aside from having to abide by our theme. Namely? Artistic Expression! The more outrageous outfits you could think of, the better!

ArTEEstic Expressions: Wear Your Art

CONTEST GUIDELINES:

1. The competition is open to all amateur designers aged 16 and above.

2. Interested parties must send in soft and hard copies of their tentative designs complying with the theme feelings on or before January 26, 2009. All entries must be dropped off at the UP JPIA tambayan located at the fourth floor of the College of Business Administration , UP Diliman. Contestants may also arrange to meet with any member of the organizing team whose contact number is specified in the contest posters and other such publicity materials.

Soft copy of the design must be in JPEG format and recorded in a CD. Hard copy of the same must be printed or drawn on a letter size bond paper.

3. There shall be a registration fee of Php 200, which is inclusive of one (1) plain white shirt on which design/s must be ultimately placed. Shirts may be claimed upon submission of design copies and payment of contest fee. Interested parties may send in a maximum of three (3) entries, for which an additional fee of Php 100 must be paid each.

4. All sorts of materials may be used to implement the design at the artist’s option. Designs may also be placed in either or both sides of the shirt.

5. Designed shirts must be dropped at the UP JPIA tambayan on or before February 2, 2009, placed in a sealed brown envelope bearing the entry title, full name and contact information (mobile and/or landline numbers, email address) of contestant.

6. Criteria for judging:

Creativity 40%

Originality 25%

Overall Appeal 25%

Adherence to theme 10%

7. Prizes:

Winning Artist: Php 5000 worth of cash and gift packs

Runner-up: Php 3000 worth of cash and gift packs

All entries will be posted in the FP Gold multiply site [fpgold.multiply. com.] and will be displayed in the ARTburst shirt gallery at the AS lobby on Feb 5&6, 2009. It will also be modeled in the ARTburst Culminating Night on Feb 6, 2009, during which the winners will be announced.

i need an interview with an activist RIGHT NOW [or at least bago mag-9am]. para po siya sa isang GE course. basically ie-email ko lang naman ang list of questions and hihintayin ang reply before 9am. kahit one liner answers lang pwedeng pwede na.

don't get me wrong, di po ako nagccram [masyado]. absent ako last week anoong pasahan ng mga interview namin kasi nagrrecover ako mula sa pagkakaconfine sa hospital. ine-mail ko naman sa prof ko yung nagawa kong interview pero di niya tinanggap kasi hindi ko naibigay in person. pinapagawa niya ako ng bagong interview, this time sa isang tibak. and he wants it today.
